VNV Nation - Futureperfect
Release Date: Fall 2001 Now here is a band that deserves more recognition then it gets. This is actually their 6th released Cd if you count a rerelease of Flicker Like A Candle released way back in 1997 on Kodex/Sushia Light records. Currently they are signed to WTII (wax track 2). Now in my opinion this is a band with some talent both in instruments and composition. The barrage of synths , percussion and other incorporated instruments (piano and strings) along with a extremely unique vocalist definately offers something you don't see everyday, a non cookie cut band. Ned uses almost a rap like singing approach within many of his songs which creates a sing along effect. You "WANT" to be part of the song of lyrics as he sings away. This is not an approach taken by many other bands, the closest comparable band I can think of at release of this is Culture Kulture. This style of vocals get many fans pumped up and dancing hard to such tracks as Heretic and Im Traum, as well as newer songs Histories, ReAlign and Perfect Sunrise. The bonus to this release is it is a double cd, so your definately getting your moneys worth. Disc 1 contains 10 new songs (1 being a remastered/remixed version of Night Riders, which kicks ass) Disc 2 contains 8 songs. 4 of which are remixs by bands such as God Module , BLaNK, Icon Of Coil And Null Device. As well as a Live Track If you get a chance to hear it before you buy it please be sure to check out soon to be club hits , ReAlign , Perfect Sunrise and Night Riders! These are going to become definate dance floor makers and already are in some places! They also offer a broad range of Stromkerns current abilities and the vision to see where they are going. I think this release will help the band pick up more mainstream play in clubs and discmans across North America. Now is the time for them to be heard! This could be in due possibly to all the bigger generic bands paving a way for the smaller and not as mentioned littler bands to sneak in their dance hits. This is a great thing if thats what it is as Stromkern is definately a deserving band of the fans. This Cd will show everyone they are not to be forgotten. Written by: GenocideX |
