Paradise Lost: One Second

Review By: Azriel K.

Do you ever buy one of those albums where you plug it in and every song seems better than the last? That’s just how I felt when I heard Paradise Lost: One Second. Shortly after hearing the album, which was the first album I heard when I had discovered by the band, I realized PL was one of those bands that “changed” you hear people nagging about it all the time, Metallica copped out, Theatre of Tragedy copped out. Bands change people, it’s a fact of life, we all know what happens to people who keep playing the same stuff over and over again, like who really takes Led Zepplin seriously anymore? The 80’s should stay in the 80’s :)
Back on topic here I highly recommend this album for it’s diversity in the way it will make you feel, adrenaline rushes like “one second” and “blood of another” combined with the tear jerkers like “this cold life” and disappear” make this a must have.
